Laguna Residence

Laguna residence, located in Plai Leam in Koh Samui, was conceived as a contemporary villa development shaped by both topography and view. The site presented a particular design challenge: despite a vertical difference of only twelve meters from the lower to upper levels, each of the eight villas was intended to enjoy a meaningful sea view. The architectural response required a careful rethinking of arrangement, massing, and spatial hierarchy in order to maximize outlook without compromising privacy or overall composition. Rather than treating the limitation as a constraint, the project used it as the starting point for a more inventive design strategy.

The solution was expressed through a high-tech architectural language. combined with a modern tropical sensibility, allowing the project to feel both forward-looking and naturally connected to its island setting. By positioning the swimming pools on the rooftops and organizing the villas in a carefully staggered composition, each residence was able to capture the sea while maintaining a strong sense of openness and individuality. At the same time, the design sought to preserve the relaxed atmosphere of a holiday home, balancing clean contemporary lines with warmth, light, and resort-like living. The result is a distinctive residential concept with clarity, elegance, and presence.
